Pat Farabaugh

Pat Farabaugh enters his fourth season as the “Voice of Red Flash Football” in 2013.  He will team with former SFU football great Jay Roberts for all home games and will work with SFU associate director of athletics communications Barry Beal on away contests.

Farabaugh is entering his third year an assistant professor of communications at Saint Francis and served as sports information director at the University from 1999-2005.  He also worked in athletic media relations at Pitt, Slippery Rock and Bucknell.

Before joining the faculty at Saint Francis, Farabaugh taught in the journalism department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for four years.

He recently completed his second book.  Titled “An Unbreakable Bond:  The Brotherhood of Maurice Stokes and Jack Twyman,” the book takes a close look at the special relationship between these two men.  Stokes earned All-American honors in basketball at Saint Francis before graduating from the school in 1955.  The book is being published by St. Johann Press in Haworth, New Jersey, and will be released in November.

Farabaugh also provides play-by-play on area high school football games.
